Pennsylvania Grand Canyon

Ricketts Glen State Park
If you are looking for the perfect place to hike and or camp, look no further. Ricketts Glen is bountiful with 22 breath taking waterfalls, hiking / biking / equestrian trails, cross-country skiing, ice climbing, swimming, fishing, boating, snowmobiling and campsites for those who want to rough it in a tent or those who are more partial to cabins or want to bring their own campers.
PPL Montour Preserve
This preserve has 966 acres with 165- acre lake for fishing and non-motorized or electric motors only boating; hiking, picnicking, bird watching and environmental education. Groups are encouraged. 570-437-3131.
State Game Lands
Columbia County offers excellent hunting for white-tailed deer, black bears and wild turkeys as well as waterfowl, ruffed grouse and squirrels. All game lands have extensive trail systems and free parking.
Covered Bridges
Columbia and Montour counties contain a rich heritage. Visitors will find the third largest concentration of covered bridges in the state of PA. Columbia County is the home of the only twin covered bridge in the United States; they were constructed in 1884 and named after John Paden who operated a nearby sawmill. Covered Bridge & Arts Festival
